DCS Healthcare posts two new RAC issues
DCS Healthcare, the RAC for Region A, added two new RAC issues for ambulatory surgical center claims (CT, DC, DE, MD, NJ, NY, PA) and non-medical necessity inpatient claims (CT, DC, DE, MA, ME, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VT) to its CMS-approved list this week. CGI, the RAC for Region B, modified two existing issues: Medical unlikely edit (MUEs) outpatient and medical unlikely edit (MUEs) professional.

Connolly posts 18 medical necessity RAC issues
Connolly, the RAC for Region C, added 18 medical necessity issues to its CMS-approved list this week for providers in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virgin Islands, Virginia (WPS only), West Virginia (WPS only)

HDI adds medical necessity to 10 existing issues; removes Part B issue
HealthDataInsights (HDI), the RAC for Region D, added medical necessity to 10 existing DRG validation issues for providers in all Region D states, and removed an issue for Part B claims.
