Finalized stimulus plan should land on President's desk Monday

The economic stimulus bill in Congress is expected to arrive on President Barack Obama’s desk Monday, February 16, The Washington Post reported yesterday.
Congressional leaders agreed on a $790 billion stimulus package. The House was expected to vote on it Thursday, February 12, or Friday, February 13. Senate action would follow thereafter.
The bill is composed of four categories:
- tax breaks for individuals and businesses
- investments in healthcare and alternative energy
- funding for "shovel-ready" infrastructure projects
- aid to state and local governments, including expanded benefits for individuals who are unemployed and lack health insurance
