Q&A: News on the permanent RAC program
Recovery Auditor Report, February 5, 2009
Q: Is there any news on the new start-up date for the permanent RAC program? If not, when do we expect to know more?
A: The RAC program is due to start up again mid-February, which would be 100 days from when two unsuccessful bidders for the RAC permanent program filed a protest. There is no new news except that the program is slated to resume even though the protests are not settled.
I would also recommend that you subscribe to receive CMS updates so you receive real-time information directly from the source.
Editor’s note: Randi Ferrare, president of Optima Healthcare Consulting in Belleair Bluffs, FL, answered the previous question.
