Aetna Inc. to reimburse students

Aetna Inc. must pay more than $5.1 million back to college students because they underpaid them on health-insurance claims, The Wall Street Journal reported February 2.

A probe by New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo’s office found that Aetna Student Health underpaid about 73,000 students at 200 colleges and universities nationwide between 1998 and April 2008, The Journal reported.

The underpayments have averaged about $25, Cynthia Michener, an Aetna spokeswoman, told The Journal.
