This month, the nation will swear in a new, change-minded president and a new director of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. It’s clear that momentum is building for major changes to the U.S. healthcare system. Already, a bill sponsored by Sen. Max Baucus (D-MT) floated the idea of so-called value-based purchasing, and varying opinions on other reform measures are emerging.
