Florida Health Care sold to Blue Cross for $85M

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida is buying Florida Health Care Plan Inc. for $85 million, Orlando Business Journal reports.
After due diligence and regulatory approvals, a specific closing date will be set.
Once the sale is complete, Florida Health Care will continue current operations as a community-based, locally managed health plan available to Volusia and Flagler County residents, and Florida Health’s 57,000 members will be able to tap into an extended network of Blue Cross services and healthcare providers.
