Google’s online medical data storage site, Google Health, obtained its first participating insurer, according to a report on Computerworld.

Google announced last week that Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts agreed to let members load personal claims data to their Google Health profiles.

The site allows users to store information about their medications, medical conditions, and past treatments. When the user adds new information, the system automatically checks for any potential reactions the patient might have based on the information in the profile.
