The self-study is a new accreditation activity program directors and coordinators must complete as part of the ACGME’s Next Accreditation System (NAS). Completing the self-study is a daunting task for many program directors and coordinators, who often do not know where to begin. Not to mention, the self-study carries high stakes. The ACGME reviews program strengths and improvements made as a result of the self-study during the 10-year site visit.
