The Regenstrief Institute, a faculty-led support organization for the Indiana University School of Medicine, has developed a new platform that allows educators to present medical students with realistic patient cases. The EHR platform contains more than 11,000 patient records that educators can use to present students with real-life clinical scenarios. Patients’ data has been altered to preserve their privacy. Educators can also measure students’ practical and critical thinking skills within the EHR and physician order entry system in the platform through evaluation tools and visual dashboards.
