Juggling a busy schedule during residency requires streamlining some personal life duties. Gwynne Kirchen, MD, recently shared a few life hacks for residents with AMA Wire. She said automating your schedule can help offload some responsibilities, such as setting up bills for automatic payments. Using scheduling apps can also be helpful by sending reminders to complete tasks on your to-do list.
To save time preparing meals, Kirchen recommended using a slow cooker to cook meals during the day while at work. Meal-delivery services that mail customers all the ingredients to cook a meal and grocery store delivery services can also be valuable timesavers.
