The ACGME launched its Clinical Learning Environment Review (CLER) program four years ago to provide teaching hospitals, medical centers, and other clinical settings periodic feedback on six focus areas?care transitions, duty hour oversight and fatigue management and mitigation, healthcare quality, patient safety, professionalism, and supervision?with the goal of improving patient care.
