Eight institutions selected for ACGME initiative

The ACGME announced the eight institutions it has selected to participate in the first phase of its four-year initiative, Pursuing Excellence in Clinical Learning Environments. The eight ACGME-accredited sponsoring institutions will serve as pathway innovators, which are tasked with engaging one of its clinical sites to implement innovations for clinical learning environments. They will then disseminate their models of change to other institutions.
The following institutions will serve as pathway innovators:
• Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC
• Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio
• Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine
• Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
• Strong Memorial Hospital of the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York
• The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School in Austin, Texas
• University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine in San
Francisco, California
• University of Chicago Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois
