With all the demands of being a physician in training, it can be easy for residents to succumb to the symptoms of burnout. To combat this, the AMA’s STEPS Forward series features an online module identifying the key aspects that are vital to residents’ well-being.
According to successful residency wellness programs, residents need the following:

• Emotional health
• Preventative care
• Financial health
• Mindset and behavior adaptability
