Residents comfortable with telemedicine

A majority of medical residents say they would not have a problem meeting with their patients through videoconferencing. According to a survey of more than 1,700 residents in 24 specialties, 70% said they would be okay with consulting patients through telemedicine technology. Sixty percent of survey respondents also said they were fine with contacting patients by phone, and 56% felt comfortable using email to communicate with patients.
