The University of California Riverside School of Medicine will welcome its first cohort of family medicine residents next Monday. The eight residents are the first to be trained in the program, which is a partnership between the school and Desert Regional Medical Center and the Desert Healthcare District. Once the program is fully developed, it will enroll 24 total residents—eight per year for the three-year program.
