Debating the value of simulation

There's little argument that simulation pervaded medical education over the last 15 years. The authors of a 2011 survey sponsored by the Association of American Medical Colleges wrote: "It is commonly asserted, albeit with limited substantive data, that every hospital and other health professional training institution has either a simulation center, simulation equipment, or a simulation-based educational program."
