Tablet computers used by residents in the UCLA neurosurgery program can now access a large, digital library of material to train more efficiently and effectively, according to a story in the July issue of Neurosurgery.
UCLA residents can use their tablets to upload from a database of educational resources to take with them for greater studying and learning habits. Residents receive tablets with a number of resources pre-installed, but can freely access hundreds of lectures, articles, and videos on neurosurgery topics.
The program, developed by UCLA faculty and trainees, also includes a mandatory weekly conference to teach core competencies.
