Many residency programs include various educational games in their teaching toolboxes. Researchers at State University of New York at Buffalo set out to discover whether internal and family medicine program directors support the use of educational games, if they actually use the games, and what types of games they use.

Of 434 program directors:

  • 92% support using games as an education strategy
  • 80% report that they already use games
  • 78% report using Jeopardy-like games
