Consider asking yourself the following questions when writing answers on the PIF about the interpersonal and communication skills competency:

  • In addition to daily contact with patients, faculty, and other healthcare providers, how does your program ensure that residents achieve competence in interpersonal skills and communication?
  • How are residents evaluated and by whom?
  • How are residents’ written communication skills monitored and evaluated?

This week’s question and answer are from The Program Information Form Made Simple, by Jeri L. Whitten, C-TAGME.
