The Association of American Medical Colleges recently released MedEdPORTAL 2.0, a Web site offering teaching tools for the medical community.
The free site contains peer-reviewed resources and the ability for users to download almost of the materials, according to the Apr. 13 AAMC STAT e-newsletter.
Residency program directors and coordinators can find several teaching and assessment tools available for download including:
- Tutorials
- Virtual patients
- Simulation cases
- Lab guides
- Videos
- Podcasts
- Assessment tools
You can either search for teaching tools by clinical area or hot topic. Hot topics include:
- Cultural competency
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- End-of-life care
- Ethics
