'Tis the season to make a to-do list

This is a busy time of the year with the recruitment season upon all of us. It is hard to even enjoy the holidays when we are so crazed trying to schedule interviews, coordinate the interview days, and put together the Match listing.
With so much going on, it’s easy for tasks to get overlooked. That’s why it’s so important to make those to-do lists. Although I’ve been in this job for many years, I still have to write down everything that needs to be done for recruitment.
In fact, I have a to-do list for the entire year, thanks to the Association of Residency Coordinators in Orthopaedic Surgery (ARCOS). The group has put together a calendar outlining all of the major activities coordinators need to complete throughout the year. I have expanded the calendar to include some of the things that I do in my own office, including WebAds updates, our Board timeline, etc.
Check in with your coordinator associations to see if they have a similar tool. If not, pick a quiet time to sit down with a calendar and create your own.
Best,
