The ACGME created a new Office of Resident Services, which provides residents, fellows, and faculty a forum to express concerns about their training program, according to a Nov. 19 press release.
“The staff of resident services will listen, discuss, answer questions, provide information, and help develop options for resolving a situation,” said Timothy P. Brigham, MDiv, PhD, senior vice president of education in the ACGME announcement. “They will not be an advocate for any individual, but an advocate for fair process. The formal complaint process will not change,” said Brigham.
