As site visitors travel from institution to institution, they meet numerous GME professionals. Make the site visitor who is reviewing your program feel welcomed by presenting an information packet upon his or her arrival. In the welcome packet, include a brief biography of faculty and administrators who the survey will meet with during the visit at your facility.
Consider including a photo of the residents, faculty, and administrators with each introduction so the site visitor can easily recognize them. It is also a good idea to have a copy of the agenda inside the packet.
This week’s tip comes from the Insider’s Guide to the ACGME Site Visit, Second Edition by Kathryn Andolsek, MD, MPH and Shepard Cohen.
