The standard components of a resident application are the following:
- Completed ERAS application form
- Resume
- Statement detailing applicant’s desire to work in specific field
- Letters of recommendation from previous physicians who have worked with the applicant
- Medical school transcripts
- The United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) scores
