Months ago, you worked hard to find, interview, and select top-notch candidates for your residency program, and now your new residents will soon arrive.
Although it’s a relief when Match Day comes and you have your new group of interns, the screening process isn’t over. Many incoming residents still have one more test to pass—the criminal background check.
It is a reality that, at some point, you will have to deal with a resident—incoming or current—whose report comes back with a hit.
