UAE's hospitals suffer 15% medical error rate

Patient Safety Monitor: Global Edition, November 13, 2007

The United Arab Emirates' Ministry of Health recently announced a 15% medical error rate in public hospitals and medical centers, according to Gulf News.

Ministry officials said the rate fell within international standards. They also said UAE's public hospitals will be re-evaluated. Officials also announced a 35% - 40% nurse shortage.
