140,000 NHS patients experience incidents at night

Patient Safety Monitor: Global Edition, November 13, 2007

The United Kingdom's National Patient Safety Agency figures found that 140,000 cases of patient falls and medical errors occurred at night, even though no scheduled operations, tests, or consultations took place, according to BBC News.

Trips and falls accounted for 60% of total nighttime incidents.
