The Joint Commission has announced the winners of the 2007 John M. Eisenberg Patient Safety and Quality Award. They include:
- Flora Koplin Winston, MD, PhD, at the Center for Injury Research and Prevention at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for individual achievement
- Darrell A. Campbell, Jr., MD at the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers for individual achievement
- Eric J. Thomas, MD, MPH at The University of Texas Health Science Center (Houston, TX) for research
- Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (Boston, MA) for innovations in patient safety and quality at the national level
- Evanston Northwestern Healthcare (Evanston, IL) for innovations in patient safety and quality at the local level
