Alberta has adopted recommendations made by its Health Quality Council to lower the risk of hospital-acquired infections in provincial hospitals, according to the Edmonton Sun.

The recommendations include improving worker communication, standardizing reporting systems in hospitals, and better training for staff members. The plan also calls for higher-level reorganization, such as clarifying the provincial government's role in infection control policy, developing provincewide standards, and improving interorganizational communication.
