A new study shows that physicians experience stress, lack of sleep, and depression after making a medical error, according to the Associated Press. The physicians experience this stress even after a near miss, according to the article.

The study, published in the August Joint Commission Journal on Quality and Patient Safety, showed that most physicians would have liked to visit a counselor after an error or near miss.
