MA physicians scored high in 12 key areas

Physicians in Massachusetts scored in the top 10% nationally in 12 of 17 measures. That achievement aside, there are other areas the physicians struggle with, according to Boston Globe blog White Coat Notes.

The Massachusetts Health Quality Partners reported that physicians in the state must improve performance in treatig patients of depressing and in screening for colorectal cancer.

The group has launched a searchable Web tool to help consumers compare physicians in their area.
