Abu Dhabi hospital to be managed by Thailand-based company

A four-year agreement has been signed by the Health Authority - Abu Dhabi and Bumrungrad International Limited (BIL), a Bangkok-based company, for BIL to manage the Al Mafraq Hospital, according to WAM, the Emeritus News Agency.
The president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, hopes the contract will further his hopes of a health care system that upholds high quality standards of care in the UAE, according to the article. BIL owns and operates more than 70 hospitals in the world, including the well-known Bumrungrad International Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand, the first hospital in Asia to have Joint Commission International accreditation.
