Patients and families increase involvement in care

Patients and their families are increasingly involved in their own care, according to a Kaiser Network news bulletin.

The patient involvement movement has gained a global head of steam, led in part by World Health Organization efforts. Patient involvement was also featured in a recent issue of the Wall Street Journal's Informed Patient column.
