Cardinal Health and Premier have developed standardized catalog terminology to improve patient safety when ordering supplies, according to a Cardinal press release.

The new terminology has been developed ordering supplies from Cardinal-associated catalogs. By using the standard terminology, the customer will know whether a particular product has the qualities he or she desires. As an example, the release outlined the new changes for ordering latex gloves. With the standardized language, it is easier to know which gloves contain potential allergens and which do not.
