Medical records company dispute leads to lack of access

A dispute between a medical records company and a client medical group resulted in the physicians being denied access to records, according to the Hudson Valley, New York-based Times Herald-Record.

Access Medical Group contracts MDx to store patient medical records electronically. According to the Times Herald-Record, MDx prohibited access to the stored records to Access Medical Group due to nonpayment. The company's CEO said access was available, but that was disputed by physicians, according to the report.
