Students across the country traveled to the University of Minnesota April 10 and 11 to take part in a competition focused on medical errors, according to the school newspaper, Minnesota Daily.

Students had to identify and offer solutions for medical errors made in a fictitious case of an unconscious 36-year-old woman. In the scenario, the woman was treated at an Arizona Hospital over a three-week period riddled with problems. The woman in the case was then readmitted to the facility a few weeks later.

Teams had to track down experts from across the country to explore the different alternatives that could have better served the test subject.
