To better help hospitals fight off multidrug-resistant organisms (MDRO) and comply with National Patient Safety Goal 07.03.01, The Joint Commission has released a free MDRO toolkit. The toolkit, titled "What Every Health Care Executive Should Know: The Cost of Antibiotic Resistance," gives readers the background information and knowledge to teach other staff members about preventing deadly infections resulting from MDROs.
The toolkit was created with the help of leading clinical experts and includes case studies, analysis of clinical research, prepared educational presentations for hospital staff members, and best practices.
