Joint Commission to offer patient satisfaction data on its Quality Check Web site

The Joint Commission is offering another way for consumers to compare hospital-related data through its Quality Check Web site. The information will be provided by the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Health Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) data collected by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). That information is currently available at the Hospital Compare Web site as well.
The HCAHPS data available on the Quality Check Web site will be updated on a quarterly basis.
