UK: Hospitals fail hygiene test

Only five out of 51 hospitals failed to meet hygiene standards that the government of the United Kingdom 's imposed to prevent infection, reports the Guardian. The Healthcare Commission told the Guardian that many of the breaches were not serious, but to prevent infections, consistency is important.
Some of the breaches include failure to keep areas clean, improper decontamination of instruments and equipment used on patients, and improper isolation techniques.
