Work stress and its effect on a professional environment

Work stress is reported to be a contributor in 49% of medication errors. Approximately 69% of aircraft accident investigations include work stress as a significant contributor to the accidents. Twenty-three percent of nuclear power plant events have work stress as a contributor. It is also reported that 40% of all job turnover is a result of work stress. Looking at these numbers, it is difficult to envision situations that do not involve work stress–related failures of some type.
