Scotland’s NHS hospitals infested with insects, rodents

Hospitals across northern Scotland's are infested with rats, cockroaches, and other insects, according the Press and Journal.

National Health Service (NHS) consultant Ashley Mowat cited privatization and loss of funds as part of the problem. "The idea of a team working together for the hospital has gone and that has had a huge impact on cleanliness," she told the Press and Journal. A Scottish government spokesperson said she was unaware of a link between the infestation and hospital-acquired infections.
