A group of 19 New England hospitals are joining together to share quality data, specifically about the incidence of pressure ulcers, reports Fierce Healthcare. The hospitals are each being given access to a "Rapid Adoption Network", part of which includes a Web-based portal by which they can share data with the other members and access other participating hospitals' data.

The Rapid Adoption Network is sponsored by VHA, Inc., based in Irving, TX. VHA has set up similar groups in other parts of the country to tackle different healthcare issues. Also included in the Rapid Adoption Network is a clinical education series designed to provide year-round education for those working on the project.
