Irish hospital removes wrong kidney from child

The largest children's hospital in Ireland, Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children, admitted to removing the wrong kidney from a pediatric patient during surgery, reports The Irish Times.
The hospital did not reveal why the child was undergoing surgery or the patient's age, according to the Times. The hospital has apologized to the patient and the patient's family. No cause of the incident has been discovered, reports the Times.
