Researcher in Canada one step closer to MRSA drug

A scientist studying at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada, has made a "promising finding" in the fight against Methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), reports the National Post (Canada).
Scientist David Jakeman has isolated a microbe that lab findings show fights MRSA, though he warns research is still in the preliminary stage. The research comes at a time when MRSA is on the rise in both Canada and the United States, according to the Post.
