Study of six MA community hospitals finds one in 10 patients victim of error

A recent study found medication mistakes affected one in every 10 patients at six Massachusetts community hospitals, according to The Boston Globe.
The study, conducted by New England Healthcare Institute and Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, two nonprofit groups, concluded that computerized physician order entry would lower error rates and overall costs, reports The Globe. The six hospitals participated in the $5 million study on the condition of anonymity. To read the full article, click here.
