AHRQ releases toolkits to help prevent medical errors

Patient safety experts from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) have developed 17 toolkits to aid physicians, nurses, patients, and others in a healthcare setting prevent medical errors. Developed by the AHRQ's Partnership in Implementing Patient Safety, the toolkits are designed to help hospital staff and patients identify high risk practices.

The toolkits are free and can be found by clicking here or visiting the AHRQ Web site. The toolkits deal with general patient safety practices, and also correspond to some of the Joint Commission's National Patient Safety Goals.
