Malaysia to track medical mistakes

Patient Safety Monitor: Global Edition, December 11, 2007

By next year, an incident reporting system will be implemented in Malaysia in an effort to reduce medical negligence, reports the New Straits Times. The system will be a database of mistakes made, and will follow guidelines set by The World Health Organization. Malaysia's health ministry hopes the available information will help educate healthcare providers on how to reduce error, reports the Times.
