Rule clears up confusion on professional courtesy

You may be entitled to professional courtesy discounts. According to an interim rule from Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) effective July 24, hospital and practice employees other than physicians can receive discounts. The rule also identifies proper ways to offer professional courtesy.
