HealthCare.gov launches new physician lookup service
Physician Practice Insider, November 17, 2015
A physician lookup feature is available in beta on HealthCare.gov, according to a statement released by CMS. The pilot program, which will be available to roughly one in four visitors to the site, will provide consumers with information about whether their physicians are part of a health plan’s network. HealthCare.gov currently has access to data from more than 90% of insurance companies on the Marketplace, although some data and some functions of the lookup feature are currently missing or disabled, according to CMS.
