A new nursing school has been dedicated at a New York college, according to the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.

Officials from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY, dedicated the 41,000-square-foot Wegmans School of Nursing during a recent ceremony. The new school was made possibly by an $8 million gift from Robert B. Wegman, the chairman of Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. who passed away in 2006 soon after making the donation.

Along with classrooms and computer labs, the building contains offices for faculty members and administrators. It also holds the Wellness Center, which is St. John's combined medical and mental health center.
